About the role

Mater's Data and Digital Solutions team is on the hunt for an Environment and Release Administrator to assist in administering the Dynamics Finance & Operations and Power Platform set of environments and to oversee the release management of solutions into these environments.

Reporting into the Manager D365 & Power Platform you will be an integral team member on Maters D365 journey. This unique opportunity is a permanent and full-time role based at our corporate Newstead office with flexible working arrangements!

Salary range: $96,902.68 - $105,439.83 (MCAS level 5) per annum plus 11% superannuation and generous salary packaging benefits.

What you’ll be doing

Typical duties of the position include:

  • Managing the lifecycle of D365 environments, including provisioning, backup, restore, refresh, and deletion, using the Lifecycle Services (LCS) portal.
  • Configuring and maintaining the release pipelines for D365 FinOps solutions, using Azure DevOps or other tools.
  • Supporting development and test teams to maintain D365 FinOps solutions that adhere to development, deployment, and release management standards and guidelines.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving any issues related to D365 environments and releases, such as performance, security, or compatibility.
  • Coordinating D365 environment, release, and upgrade activities, with other teams and stakeholders such as developers, testers, business analysts, and end users.
  • Contributing to technical knowledge repositories and ensuring compliance with standards and best practices.
  • Participating in peer reviews and quality assurance for solutions developed by the digital team.
  • Providing production support and operational maintenance as well as on-call support when needed.

About you

Ideally you will have experience in:

  • Experience in D365 product release management (FinOps and Power Platform).
  • Experience in administering D365 FinOps and its environments, inclusive of database migration and refreshes.
  • Experience in building, releasing, and automating deployments using Azure DevOps Pipelines, Octopus Deploy, Jenkins or similar CI/CD deployment tools.
  • Knowledge of D365 integration configuration with Power Platform and Azure.
  • A good knowledge of LCS and Power Platform Admin Center with experience handling deployments and Microsoft Service upgrades.
  • Experience in using source control tools such as Azure DevOps Repos, GitHub, Bit Bucket, and a good knowledge of TFVC and Git, with hands on experience merging code, and branching.
  • Proficient in the use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or similar products.
  • Tertiary qualifications in computer science or a related study, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience in Software Engineering, ideally coordinating deliverables of internal and external development teams.
