About the role
Mater Private Hospital Townsville are looking for Undergraduate Students in Nursing to join our casual pool. These casual roles will give you the opportunity to work across our Pimlico and Hyde Park campuses. These positions are scheduled to commence in February 2025. Due to recruitment closures during Christmas, successful applicants will be contacted in the second week of January.
You will have the opportunity to work across a variety of areas including surgical, medical, cardiac, orthopeadics, peadiatirics, ICU, neurology, ED and recovery.
You will work under the direct supervision of the clinical team assisting with the care of patients as delegated by your team. You will consistently deliver a high level of clinical care to patients, demonstrating clinical knowledge and consult with your team to plan, deliver and evaluate patient centred care. Your scope is in alignment with your knowledge and competency requirements of your university studies. This role gives you fantastic hands-on experience supporting with your formal studies.
Salary: $32.55 - $35.99 per hour + superannuation + access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
About you
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Nursing, either in your second or third year of study (Documented evidence of completion is mandatory).
- Demonstrate flexibility to perform in a variety of clinical areas, adaptability to integrate into different teams and work under different Nurse Unit Managers
- Be committed to excellence in nursing practice and professional development
- Demonstrate ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team
- Previous experience in nursing as an AIN (desirable not essential)
