About the role
Are you a skilled Business Analyst with a drive for transformation and modernisation? The Mater Group Finance - Procurement department is embarking on an exciting project to transform our finance and operations over the next 12-24 months. As the Business Analyst, you will play a critical role in uplifting our financial and supply chain operations.

Salary range: $114,746 - $122,915 per annum plus 11.5% superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits! 

What you’ll be doing

Reporting to the Director of Procurement and Supply Chain, you will identify inefficiencies, gather detailed business requirements, and prioritise pain points to support the implementation of new processes. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Health, Finance, Procurement, Supply and IT ensuring smooth and effective transformation initiatives.   • Evaluate and improve finance and supply chain processes, identifying inefficiencies and areas for enhancement.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and prioritise business requirements for system upgrades and process transformations.
  • Design and implement integrated solutions for finance and supply chain functions, utilising ERP systems and procurement platforms.
  • Propose and support the implementation of process improvements to streamline workflows, such as procure-to-pay and order-to-cash.
  • Assist in the execution of transformation projects, ensuring timely delivery of key milestones and effective stakeholder communication.
  • Lead master data cleansing efforts, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and integrity across finance and supply chain functions.
  • Define and enforce data governance policies, ensuring compliance with standards and best practices.
  • Collaborate with IT and business units for data migration, validation, and ongoing master data management.

About you

As an experienced Business Analyst, you have a strong desire to excel in your field and possess a deep understanding of finance, supply chain, and data management.

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Supply Chain Management, Business, Data Management, or a related field is mandatory.
  • Desired qualifications include an advanced degree in Finance, Supply Chain Management, or Business, as well as certifications such as CBAP, CSCP, or Lean Six Sigma.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a Business Analyst role, with a focus on finance, supply chain, or data management. Experience in system implementation, transformation projects, and master data management is preferred.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, supply chain management tools, and data management tools. Experience with data analysis tools and migration techniques.
  • Strong understanding of data governance principles, including master data management, data quality standards, and migration best practices.
  • Ability to analyze large data sets, identify trends and inconsistencies, and develop strategies for improving data accuracy and integrity.
  • Experience supporting cross-functional transformation projects, managing deliverables, timelines, and resources. Familiarity with Agile or Waterfall methodologies is a plus.
  • Familiarity with MDM tools and systems, as well as knowledge of data privacy regulations and financial regulations.
