About the role
Are you a skilled and experienced project manager seeking a new challenge? The Mater Group Finance - Procurement department is embarking on an exciting project to transform our finance and operations over the next 12-24 months. As the Senior Project Manager (SPM), you will play a crucial role in overseeing this complex, multi-streamed project aimed at improving efficiency, processes, and performance.
Salary: Commensurate with experience plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
Reporting to the Director of Procurement and Supply Chain, you will lead cross-functional teams, drive change management processes, and ensure the project is delivered on time and within budget. - Manage and execute a comprehensive transformation plan, aligning with best practices in investment, portfolio, program, project, change, and benefits management.
- Lead the project's transition, redesigning processes, roles, and workflows across departments to achieve business objectives.
- Ensure project alignment and integration with broader company initiatives and objectives.
- Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary project team, collaborating with key departments and managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Oversee the project budget, identify and mitigate risks, and ensure timely issue resolution.
- Manage project governance, produce regular status reports, and utilise project management tools for effective resource management and tracking.
- Manage vendor relationships, allocate and manage project resources, and enforce quality assurance protocols.
- Ensure project adherence to regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
About you
As a skilled and experienced project manager, you understand the importance of delivering successful projects on time and within budget. We are seeking a candidate with a mandatory PMP (Project Management Professional) or similar certification, along with the following qualifications and skills:
- Minimum 5-10 years of project management experience, including managing projects with budgets over $1 million.
- Strong leadership, organisational, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact with senior management and key stakeholders.
- Proven experience managing cross-functional teams in fast-paced, high-stakes environments.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, Asana).
- In-depth understanding of corporate services delivery in a healthcare context, particularly finance, procurement, and supply chain.
